Art Workshops For Kids And Adults

3 Ring Circus offers workshops for adults one time per month during which adults can come into the center and receive instruction for the creation of an art project. Topics include: recycled art, shadow boxes, miniature framed collages, plaster casting, beginning pottery. Area artists will provide instruction for these 2-hour workshops, which are available at low cost to the general public. Workshops and classes will also be made available for children. Children’s topics include: puppetry, color theory, mask making and more. Children’s classes will be available at low cost to the general public. Scholarships are available on a need-based application. Workshops begin in November 2004.

Workshops are also offered offsite for special events such as fairs and festivals. 3 Ring Circus participates in fundraisers for other non-profit organizations, offering instruction and materials for art activities. Events include: New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, Arts Council’s Fresh Arts Festival, KidSmART ART JAM, French Quarter Festival.
